I got infected with a Vundo variant a few days ago. McAfee also claimed to have found JuanSearch. At the time, I only had SpyBot and McAfee. I've since loaded VirtumundoBeGone, Ad-Aware, SuperAntiSpyware, and SpywareBlaster. These seemed to clean things up a lot, but I still get McAfee occasionally telling me that it has "blocked" a Vundo Trojan, sometimes even with the internet connection off.

SuperAntiSpyware quarantined the following items:
Adware.Vundo variant: VTURP.DLL
Trojan.Downloader-CREW: ABLCFHKF.DLL
Trojan.Downloader-UniBBB: TUVUTST.DLL.VIR
Trojan.Winfixer: SSTQO.DLL

Three days later, SuperAntiSpyware again quarantined a Trojan.Downloader:
Trojan.Downloader-UniBBB: EFCYAWW.DLL

I assume that something is still lurking on my computer.

Welcome to the forum.

Please download VundoFix.exe
to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  
• Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  
• When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt into your next reply

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above
instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when
VundoFix appears at reboot.

Download AVG Anti-Spyware

• Load AVG antispyware and then click the Update tab at the top. Under Manual Update click Start update.
  
• After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
  
• Click on the Scanner tab at the top and then click on Complete System Scan
  
• Ewido will list any infections found on the left, when the scan has finished, it will automatically set the recommended action. Click the Apply all actions button. AVG antispyware will then display "All actions have been applied" on the right.
  
• Click on "Save Report", then "Save Report As". This will create a text file which you can then save to the Desktop and post back

Note that this is not AVG antivirus but the program formally known as Ewido.

In your next post I want a vundofix log, a avg antispyware log, and a new hijackthis log.

I forgot to mention that I had loaded VundoFix previously. So, the log gives some history on the recurrent infections. Nothing was found this time.

I saved the AVG antispyware log before I applied all actions. Digstream.exe and the Adware.Virtumonde were ignored. gcsvc.exe was quarantined.

Alright, I believe mcafee has quarantined a few files and then there are a few others to delete.

Find and delete these files if found:

Everything came up clean with past couple of scans. Seems to be much better.

What was the key infection?

The worst ones were probably vundo, and the backdoor that avg found.
Glad to hear that everything seems fixed. If you want to run another scan for a little more confidence you could try this:

Run Panda Activescan from Here.

Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
- A new window will open...click the Check Now button
- Enter your Country
- Enter your State/Province
- Enter your e-mail address and click send
- Select either Home User or Company
- Click the big Scan Now button
- If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
- It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan
(Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
- When the download is complete, click on Local Disks to start the scan
- When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location so you can post it back.

If you run the scan, post back with the results if anything is found.

How attached to mcafee are you? The reason I ask is, if your computer seems slow to you mcafee very well could be the cause.
Just throwing out there that you could get avg free edition and kerio firewall off of this link and greatly speed up your computer.
