After years with WMP, i'm fnally sick of the 80 mb of ram it takes. I've switched to foobar2000, and it only uses 5 mb!

However, I have had trouble customizing it. I managed to screw the interface up so much that it was unusable, followed by an uninstall and reinstall. So, I have the following questions:

1. Is there a plugin that can support video?

2. What list of plugins/skins do you people use? Could you please upload some screenshots and the list?

Thanks so much!

Your best bet to get the correct answers is to go to:
http://forums.foobar2000.org/

On the forums you'll find 3rd party plugins, configurations, etc. Once you do have Foobar2000 configured make damn sure you backup ZIP or whatever you use the following file:
C:\Program Files\Foobar2000\foobar2000.cfg

And note, Foobar2000 is an Audio Player, not a video player!

well, i tried customizing, and I would like other people's feedback. I can't make it the perfect player yet, and I have trouble with tagging and actually keeeping a library. That's why I would like other's opinion here (eg. screenshot, list of 3rd party things)

For tagging, I'd actually go with mp3tag. It's freeware and is much easier to work with for tagging :).

WMP11 has worn out its welcome with me I think. Yesterday I was on my pc for like 3 hours strait at one point and I looked at my taskmanager and WMP was using over 100mb of ram.

WMP11 I'm no fan of in anyway.

I just looked and noticed that Foobar2000 when minimized and playing an MP3 is only using using 1,764k. :P
When maximized it's only using 3,236k. :P

My Winamp got pretty much the same memory usage. I got Winamp 5.3 with classic style skin and no visualization. Modern skins are one hell of a memory hogs.
