I've never been a huge fan of the band Rush, I've always thought that the singer had a pretty strange voice.
A friend of mind is a huge fan and he just emaild me a link to their site where they have a new song posted.

Its called Far Cry and its found here:
http://www.rush.com/ (just skip the intro and then press play on the embedded media player)

I must say the track is pretty good. That new album if it has songs like that might be a big hit.
Let me know you think. :D

Liked the thunder at the start, and I can still hear OK, so it`s not that bad.

Seriously, I liked the track, but I couldn`t listen to an album of similar stuff. I would put that on a compilation CD.

Like I said before, I've never really liked them much. I guess I just disliked this song less than their other stuff.(however they do have a cd out that is just 70's cover songs. Its actually pretty good).

Maybe you have to be Canadian to love them. :P

I own a Rush CD from the 90's that I like, but this new track isn't my cup of tea.

Hmm I was never personally a fan of Rush. But that track is quite good instrumentally talking. It seems Rush have taken an extra step in the progressive direction, just too bad I really can't stand the vocals of Geddy Lee.

New songs wise, I was quite impressed by Black Sabbath's three new songs that were recorded with Ronnie James Dio. Can't wait to see Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath), Megadeth and Down (Phil Anselmo & Rex Brown of Pantera) on March 26th.

And 8 days later I'm seeing G3 live. (Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert). I hope Gilbert brings as his touring drummer Scott Travis of Judas Priest. (who is also in Racer X with Gilbert)

That's exactly what I was thinking when listening to the new track! Although instrumentally Rush is solid and I can't fault them one bit in that area, it's just the vocals that I don't fancy. But to each their own I suppose.
