On down loading windows says "problem with download -No valid signature" or some thing like it. How do I fix this? I am running xp home sp2. and I never had a problem downloading the previous editions.

Welcome to the Piriform Forums! :)
  • You can always right click the CCleaner setup file, choose Properties, click Digital Signatures, highlight Piriform Ltd, then click Details. This will allow you to view the certificate. If it states it's valid, it should be fine and untampered with. If the certificate isn't valid you should post what website you downloaded it from so that Piriform Ltd will know that website has tampered with the setup file.
  • Make sure you're downloading from the official CCleaner download page. If you re-download the setup file you should probably dump your browser cache ("Temporary Internet Files") first to make sure you're getting a clean download and not something served from cache already on your system.
  • If you're using Internet Explorer you "may" need to update the Root Certificates, I know a new version was just released yesterday and the CCleaner setup does use Verisign or Thawte Code Signing according to the certificate/signature and those were both updated. You can check for that update at Microsoft Update.

Complexity of incoherent design.
