RAM usage in windows

Right now 30 Processes running and total of 308MB in use. I thought there was only suspose to be 23 or something like

I just got off from talking to one of my friends whos currently in School being trained in programming. He says it's normal as that's what I thought. I'm no smarter then him in some parts.

51 processes- 347MB

Wait till you try Vista, over half a GB when idle.
