I'm dutch and a new user but I do not understand the following situation.
According to the faqs I read that I rightclick and use "merge" to restore a registry backup. But in dutch it means "samenvoegen".
When I do that I get the registry in a notepad.
Can somebody tell me what i do wrong.
Thanx
restore registry backups

This is not much help,
but I can tell you that I have just had to do this (in English) and the merge button is indeed the correct one to press, after right-clicking, to get the files back into the registry (in English). Notepad does not come up at any time in this process.
Is there any similar word to "merge" appearing in your right-click list, other than "samenvoegen"? Maybe give some other options a try after right-clicking. Good luck.

"Samenvoegen" in Dutch equals "Merge" in English
Alternatively, you can simply doubleclick the regfile, which will have the same effect.
