I just did a reformat on my windows xp box after 1 year. :D There was a link in this forum about turning off unnecessary windows services. I believe it was by blackjack or someone? I forgot

I am looking for that link. I'd appreciate if you can give me

I strongly advise you to annotate what you disable, though; many services are interdependent and you want to be able to retrace your steps if necessary...
