CCleaner looked like a promising program from the start, but when I specifically indicated to it not to remove my cookies and hit the "Clean" command from the Recycle Bin, all my website passwords were immediately lost. What's going on here?

I don't use the Cookies to Keep feature personally, however you may want to tell CC what cookies to leave alone.
