Im using a windows XP, when i analyzed the green progress bar would load and load until finally the program froze and shut down. i narrowed it down to the system tree specifically the Temporary Files. for now i just deselect the temporary files and run the cleaner anyways and it works fine. but it'd be nice to be able to clean that section too

This has been reported before "I think" and a possible workaround is listed below.

Perhaps it's something in the temp folder that's causing it. You could manually delete the contents of the temp folder by doing the following:

• Click Start->Run->Type in: %temp%
  then hit Enter
  
• Select all files in the temp folder and delete them.
  
• Run CCleaner again and see if that remedies the problem.
