I used ccleaner to clean my laptop and deleted everything recommended. Unfortunately I did not make a backup of the registry and now I have problems with msn live messenger. sometimes msn live messenger doesn't start at all and other times even if it starts and logs on, it immediately shuts down stating a fatal error. I uninstalled and re-installed the program at least 3 times - but the problem still persisits.
Worst, I suggested ccleaner to 2 of my friends and they are having similar problem. Do suggest what can be done to remedy this.

Have you tried uninstalling it in Safe Mode then restarting and install it in normal mode?
