I was curious as to where if I'm using the latest MVP,s host file do I need to continue using SpywareBlaster also.

Yes they are both adding to different layers.
Plus running them both doesn't slow anything down.
Spyware Blaster works at the browser level while the host file is filtering things before they even reach the browser. Its just another quick and easy way to add another layer of safety.
