Hello everyone.

Yes, I too had the same problem. I canceled out and went back to the 'download latest version' page on Filehippo and ran it again and it turned out fine. Everything’s ok, but I'm wondering what happened and if it will effect something in the future.

Same here, downloaded fine.

Some ad-blocking proxy filtering software depending upon its features can or may possibly create a problem doing the download - therefore try a direct connection in your web browser without any proxy filtering software.
Complexity of incoherent design.

I also downloaded without a problem.

I can also confirm that the index.dat file and cookie handling issue in IE7 still exists in this version.

Well, seems I was wrong. However I noticed that there are 4 index.dat files that no longer show up in the list of files to be deleted -

Documents and Settings\%username%\Cookies\
Documents and Settings\%username%\UserData\
Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Recent\
Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Feeds Cache\

Should these be deleted, or are they handled differently now in relation to cookie handling?
