I have just today downloaded a mpg file and i cannot delete it. all other mpg and other files can be deleted but when i right click this one none of the normal options come up like delete or rename etc.

when i try and play it, it opens media player but nothing plays. I downloaded the 'file deleter' and tried it on this file and it just said this file is invalid and cannot delete it.

any ideas would be a great help thanks.

Just search the forums a bit.
There's been tons of discussion on removing "un-removable/un-deletable" files.

DelInvFile has worked for me.
Don't about Unlocker, but it's supposed to work.

2)(worked) Or Dos/command prompt method

open command prompt/run cmd.exe

cd C:\Documents and Settings\directory\directory where the file is
dir /x
del FILENAME~#.MPG

3)(worked) Make a new folder, Move all the files except the Invalid file to the new folder.
Delete the original folder.
