I have a file that keeps appearing : Perflib _ perf data _3e0.dat. Each day , the last three digits change . I can not delete this file , as I always get the message that it is in use by another process . I have run NAV , F - Secure , HijackThis, Kaspersky , and BitDefender , the last of which tentatively identified the file as Trojan . Downloader . Zlob . BDI . However , when I went to SpyHunter and tried to use their ZLOB removal process , it could not find the Trojan . Can you tell me what this is and help me get rid of it, please ?

If memory serves me correct that is tied to windows performance counters. It's a service that keeps track of certain windows counters/performance factors. Those are the files that contain those values. You'd have to turn off the service and reboot to remove the files.
