I'm thinking about going with one of the free Firewalls like Comodo. What do you use, recommend? Thank You!

ZoneAlarm has a free edition of their firewall too.

Personally I use the default Windows Firewall, but if I used anything else, it would be "PktFilter".

Myth - "The Windows XP Firewall is not good enough because it lacks outbound filtering."

See here for an explanation.

Yeah, the Windows Firewall cannot compare with good firewalls such as iptables, but it comes with Windows, and it doesn't run any extra processes, its not bloated, so thats what I use.

I couldn't agree more. One choice is always a dictatorship. Multiple choices means freedom of thought. I would kiss you if you were a girl

It is critical that you use a firewall to protect your computer from hackers. We don't recommend the firewall that comes built into Windows. It doesn't block everything that may try to get in, it doesn't block anything at all outbound, and the entire firewall is written to the registry. Since most malware accesses the registry and can disable the Windows firewall, it's preferable to install one of these excellent third party solutions.

Some of the stuff on mastertechs site is good and some isn't.
