Hi. I have never had any problem using CCleaner until I downloaded the latest version today.

Now when I try to run it, it freezes and the task manager just states that it is not responding.

Anyone else having this problem - Is there a problem with the program?

Help please.

Hello growssb and welcome to the forum :)

Have you tried the usual things like downloading a new install (from a site such as this) and re-installing?

Also perhaps try safe mode as well.

Please let us know if you still have any problems.

Have you tried a complete uninstall and reinstall? This should not be necessary, but sometimes you can have a file corrupted. Make sure that the Registry is OK too.
Personally, I'm not having any issues with this version.

What is your operating system, and are all your virus/malware scans okay?

One of the main issues is the version of Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime files installed. View this thread for updating them, and restart Windows after installing them even if you aren't prompted to do so.
Complexity of incoherent design.
