DVD burning

HI!!! Im having problems burning DVD movies, my laptop has 2 default writing applications,,
NTI CD&DVD maker7 and Cyberlink power producer,,

I downloaded a dvdrip - avi file,, how can i write this to disc?
what is the right format or layout? DVD, VCD, data??

any suggestions?

If the file is an AVI you can convert it to DVD format with ConvertxtoDVD. If you need to go the other direction from DVD to AVI. You can use DVDzip.
