Hey all
pls i need help! i just got this nasty trojan just searching the net and i was wondering how to remove this trojan.downloader.small.CML any tips.
I have spydocter to remove it but when i reboot or rescan my computer its still there even though it says its removed.
If anyone know anything in how to remove it pls help because everytime i start my computer everything takes for ever to show up my internet brower toolbars are gone and its worrying me like hell. I would be thankful if any of you guys can help, soo it wont lead me to just reformat i hate reformating

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Download Ewido Anti-Spyware

• Load Ewido and then click the Update tab at the top. Under Manual Update click Start update.
  
• After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
  
• Click on the Scanner tab at the top and then click on Complete System Scan
  
• Ewido will list any infections found on the left, when the scan has finished, it will automatically set the recommended action. Click the Apply all actions button. Ewido will then display "All actions have been applied" on the right.
  
• Click on "Save Report", then "Save Report As". This will create a text file which you can then save to the Desktop and post back

Download hijack this here:

Open it and choose to scan and save log file. A text file will appear. Paste that text file here along with the ewido scan log. Once I get those I can help you clean up anything that could be left.

Please download VundoFix.exe
to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  
• Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  
• When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt into your next reply

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above
instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when
VundoFix appears at reboot.


Once you get your computer back up and running post the vundo fix log, and a new hijack this log.

Well when my computer restarted it kinda froze with my background wallpaper for a while soo i alt+ctrl+delete and restarted agian will that effect anythings?

Don't worry there still are other options.

Download Superantispyware

• Load Superantispyware and click the check for updates button.
  
• Once the update is finished click the scan your computer button.
  
• Check Perform Complete Scan and then next.
  
• Superantispyware will now scan your computer and when its finished it will list all the infections it has found.
  
• Make sure that they all have a check next to them and press next.
  
• Click finish and you will be taken back to the main interface.
  
• Click Preferences and then click the statistics/logs tab. Click the dated log and press view log and a text file will appear.
  
• Copy and paste the log onto the forum.

After you follow the directions come back with the superantispyware log and a new hijack this log.

Download Killbox from Here

Run Killbox by clicking the killbox.exe file on the desktop

In the Full Path of File to Delete window type (or copy and paste)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\jmiffdnv.dll

Select the options Delete on reboot and Unregister .dll Before Deleting

Click the button: Single File and it should then flash green.

Then press the Delete File button (Red Circle with a White X).
Killbox will tell you that all listed files will be removed on next reboot and asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES
If you don't get that message, reboot manually.

Your computer should reboot now.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

In your next reply I want the smitfraud fix and a new hijack this log.

Good job, and yet again closer.

You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a Notepad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.

Please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

• Restart your computer
  
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  
• Choose your usual account.

Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart anyway into normal Windows. A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply along with a new HijackThis log.

um there was no text file that showed up after i restarted =/ i dunno where it went

Did you do the last instructions I said? (boot to safe mode run smitfraud fix.)
