Not necessarily but some of it is actually needed. You'd be much better off posting a HijackThis log in the appropriate forum area so that one of the experts can tell you what is safe to disable and what isn't.

Edit:
And don't forget Google, you can search for many of those entries yourself to see exactly what they're for.

I don't know what all those are, but I would remove them all and uninstall any Symantec software. :D

The problem with that kind of remark is it doesn't help by telling someone to remove all of them when something may actually be needed. And since CCleaner doesn't disable them and instead permanently removes them it can cause allot of grief.

I just disregard anything he says because last time I said I had tuneup utilities he flamed me for having a "symantec product" when there not even affiliated with eachother... So it really doesn't matter... anyway I did google all of these but some off them seem important but I'm not sure if I can remove them or not anyway...

Oh sorry, I must have confused TuneUp Utilities with something from Norton/Symantec, I think SystemWorks or something like that.

While Symantec/Norton isn't the devil, my opinion is that they do really crappy software (with the except of Norton Commander from 1995 for DOS). :D

Some of those you can input into ProcessLibrary.com and that website will tell you if it knowns what the .exe belongs to what it's for and if it's necessary.
