I have a major problem with my computer. This virus is being picked up by Macafee but can't be deleted or Quar. Since this has been showing up my cd-rw is no longer appearing so I can't burn any files. I get Degub errors, server busy errors, pop-ups even though the pop-up blocker is on and virtual memory low. As you can see many problems and I'm about to trash the system I'm so frustrated. I will post a log of my HJT and please see if you can find what exactly I need to get rid of please.

Hi Claire, Welcome to the forum 
Let's start with a couple of malware scanners then take it from there. Can you turn off word wrap before posting the next log, Open notepad (Start > Run > Type Notepad and press OK) and under the *Format* at the top, please uncheck wordwrap.
Download this file - combofix.exe and save it to your desktop.
Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When it's finished, it will produce a log of what it found. Please post the contents of that log in your next reply
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running as it may cause it to stall
Then download Ewido Anti-Spyware

- After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
- Click on the Scanner tab at the top and then click on Complete System Scan
- Ewido will list any infections found on the left, when the scan has finished, it will automatically set the recommended action. Click the Apply all actions button. Ewido will then display "All actions have been applied" on the right.
- Click on "Save Report", then "Save Report As". This will create a text file which you can then save to the Desktop and post back

Can you disable Spybot's TeaTimer protection before starting so it doesn't interfere with the HijackThis fixes:
After TeaTimer is disabled make a regfix to remove some obsolete/malware startup entries:
Open Notepad (Start Menu > Run > type notepad and press ok) then copy and paste the contents of the code box into Notepad making REGEDIT4 the top line.
Goto File on the top bar of Notepad and choose Save As, on the Save As Type area change it to all files then name it fix.reg and save it to your desktop, double click fix.reg(or right click and choose Merge) and allow it to be merged into the registry which will remove the entries.
It looks like Ewido may of removed a genuine file which belongs to Verizon's Toolbar so can you remove that from Quarantine and have it scanned at a Virus Scan site.
Open Ewido then click Infections on the top bar. Click the "Quarantine" tab and highlight this file
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\vzbb.dll
Then click "Restore"
As the file is in the Downloaded Program Files folders can you unregister the following file
Goto Start Menu > Run > and copy and paste
regsvr32 /u occache.dll
Then click OK,
Next Visit VirusTotal and have the file scanned:
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\vzbb.dll
Open the scan site and press Browse, locate the file and double click it to load the path into the Virus scan window then press Send, copy and paste the Virus scan results back and let us know if you have any problems finding the file.
Once you have scanned the file register the following file again:
go back to Start Menu > Run > and copy and paste
regsvr32 occache.dll
And Press OK
Run Hijack This and choose Do A System Scan then place a check next to these entries

The above entry is from Yahoo but you can see from the addresses that the system is being redirected through red.clientapps before going to the Yahoo site, red.clientapps is Red Sheriff and a form of spyware although probably nothing nasty it is recommended that it's fixed. Here's some info on Red Sheriff.
Can you then run a scan with VundoFix to just make sure its not on the system as there appears to be some components of that infection showing in the Combofix log.
Please download VundoFix.exe
to your desktop.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above
instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when
VundoFix appears at reboot.
Then clear your System Restore points:
Click Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > SystemRestore
Choose Create a Restore Point then click Next. Name it and click Create, when the confirmation screen shows the restore point has been created click Close.
Next goto Start Menu > Run > type
cleanmgr
Click OK, Disk Cleanup will open and start calculating the amount of space that can be freed, Once thats finished it will open the Disk Cleanup options screen, click the More Options tab then click Clean up on the system restore area and choose Yes at the confirmation window which will remove all the restore points except the one we just created.
Finally reboot and please run Ewido and Combofix then post back the logs to show if there is any remaining problems, also post back a new HijackThis log and the VirusTotal results for the vzbb.dll file.

Open the scan site and press Browse, locate the file and double click it to load the path into the Virus scan window then press Send, copy and paste the Virus scan results back and let us know if you have any problems finding the file.
Once you have scanned the file register the following file again:
go back to Start Menu > Run > and copy and paste
regsvr32 occache.dll
And Press OK
Run Hijack This and choose Do A System Scan then place a check next to these entries

The above entry is from Yahoo but you can see from the addresses that the system is being redirected through red.clientapps before going to the Yahoo site, red.clientapps is Red Sheriff and a form of spyware although probably nothing nasty it is recommended that it's fixed. Here's some info on Red Sheriff.
Can you then run a scan with VundoFix to just make sure its not on the system as there appears to be some components of that infection showing in the Combofix log.
Please download VundoFix.exe
to your desktop.
- Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
- Click the Scan for Vundo button.
- Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
- You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
- Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
- When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
- Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above
instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when
VundoFix appears at reboot.
Then clear your System Restore points:
Click Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > SystemRestore
Choose Create a Restore Point then click Next. Name it and click Create, when the confirmation screen shows the restore point has been created click Close.
Next goto Start Menu > Run > type
cleanmgr
Click OK, Disk Cleanup will open and start calculating the amount of space that can be freed, Once thats finished it will open the Disk Cleanup options screen, click the More Options tab then click Clean up on the system restore area and choose Yes at the confirmation window which will remove all the restore points except the one we just created.
Finally reboot and please run Ewido and Combofix then post back the logs to show if there is any remaining problems, also post back a new HijackThis log and the VirusTotal results for the vzbb.dll file.

This was the right thing to do regarding the file but you was in position 29 as that site receives alot of traffic, the page will keep refreshing every few seconds and then it will count down, once it gets to position 1 it will then start the scan, you then need to wait for all the results to show as it will scan the file using about 25 different virus scanners, once it shows Finished in the top right of the screen then copy and paste the results back,
As Ewido removed it again you will have to repeat the steps of removing it from quarantine and then unregistering the occache.dll file.
