I don't like running real time antispyware on my machine and didn't use to like running a firewall(since I got my router.). But since I started using netveda it hasn't bothered me once since I installed it.
The sandboxie idea is neat but it annoyed me.
I guess if I knew I was going to a virus infested site I would fire it up but I couldn't run that all the time. It just got in the way.

I'm still undecided on a firewall. I had a bad (re. costly) experience with Netveda, so I'm leaving it alone. Maybe Jetico..?

While Sygate was fine while it lasted, I expect there are worthwhile replacements by now.

Tried Jetico a while back and it was just too hard to configure (or I was too lazy) but I have read that once it is done it is one of the best.
You may want to read through the thread below which has near on 400 posts.
