That site is an very old site, from the Netscape times, heh... :P
I think...

Also, I think that it is a very bad site.
It is true however that IE sucks and cant even follow webstandards.

And I really hate QuickTime too... (also RealPlayer and other proprietary junk)

quicktime alternative

real alternative

Both work perfectly and play everything in your browser just like the real thing. :)

K-Lite Mega Codec Pack - is a collection of codecs and related tools. The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files.

With the K-Lite Codec Pack you should be able to play all the popular movie formats and even some rare formats. This package is mainly for power users and people who do their own encodings.

I used to like that but I found that I liked vlc better for downloaded content. VLC isn't as good at streaming the things like media player classic is though.

I like a lot VLC.

Could get QuickTime alternative and RealMedia alternative, but rather just boycott them both.

VLC is my favorite. I keep Winamp around for the streaming, and use WMP occasionally for sync'ing

Eh that webpage is horrible from the god aweful red background to me thinking it had actually frozen Firefox while it was downloading the streaming media in the background.
Complexity of incoherent design.
