Hello,

I had a couple of friends over - I stepped out of the room and when I came back they were looking at ****ography on the internet and had downloaded several movies. Does CCleaner delete porn files?

Does it also delete Windows Media Player and QuickTime movie files?

I looked all around my computer and couldn't find the movies, so I think they were in the temporary cache for Windows Media PLayer - does CCleaner delete Windows Media Player cache and QuickTime cache?

Thanks.

Yes ccleaner does remove wmp's and quicktime's cache. If you want to keep it from doing so then uncheck them under applications tab. Maybe they were just steaming the files.

Will, it get rid of porn images? My friends clicked on WMV movie in the web browser and then it opened WMP - does CCleaner get rid of those?

How about porn web sites, if they are just images, will CCleaner get rid of those?

Does it throughly delete all internet tracks in IE and Firefox?

Thanks. I just want to be squeeky clean - any suggestions/ideas are welcome.

CCleaner will remove pr0n from the Temporary Internet Cache.. (when you watch it in your browser or if you click on a video and select the "open" without saving it option.)

CCleaner however will NOT remove pr0n in most other directories.. such as the desktop, my documents, C:\pr0n, etc...

hope that clears it up some more.

Thanks. Hopefully its all out. I wonder if this would turn up anything:
In Windows XP, I did a search and in "Search" I checked Search all Videos but did not type in any name of a specific video - I checked look at all hidden folders as well - so does this search and find ALL videos on the computer?

If so, I found no p0rn movies! Yay.

no prob..

try doing a search of your entire C drive for all files and types and search 3 times with "*.mpg" "*.wmv" and "*.avi" (without the quotes)

this will search for the 3 most popular video formats at least in my opinion.. not all the results will be pr0n, so don't get delete happy, but if you see words like blowj*bs and an*l and stuff, then more then likely its pron lol.

Thanks so much. I'll do that. But like if its just pr0n images, then its only in the cache and no where else unless downloaded correct?

Thanks.

PS: I really do not want to reformat so thats why I need all of this nasty stuff out!

In Firefox, you can use goto the "Tools" menu and select "Clear Private Data" and it will remove cache, cookies, browsing history, etc.

You can also search for "*.mpg;*.wmv;*.avi" and it find all those 3 file types in one search query.

But why doesn't anybody ask the obvious question: why are you so afraid of porn?

I know: it is unwanted but that can't be a reason for such fear of leaving some traces on your computer.

Internetman , Open Your windows media player, go to all videos . In the playlist if anything shows up, right click on them one by one , also check Your media library . Then choose Delete from library, It should show an option to competly clean off of the hard drive tick that & Your worrys are over . If You allready deleted them just by the files, You no longer have that option though. Hope that helps. Cowboy

I think that it isn't any of our business why he wants it all gone.

If I were in his shoes, and someone had done that on my PC I would do everything I could to remove all traces, and it's no one's business why I don't want that crap on my pc. ;)
