To all of those on xp that want the vista glass look here is little program to do it:
http://www.chime.tv/...s/glass2k.shtml

Its a little program that dosent even require an install. Just run it and then press ctrl+shift and number key to set the amount of tranparency.

Here is a screen shot from my pc

Not something I would run all the time but pretty cool

I guess I don't really worry about what my desktop looks like. I just want it to be organized the way I want and thats it. Plus trying to type on something thats transparent is kind of hard, I would lose track of what I wrote. :D

i noticed, after i ended it, all of the windows stay transperant!
i had to open it back up and turn the glass effect off on all of them.
thats a hassel...

No, just close the program and then the window thats transparent. If you open the window back up its no longer transparent.

I think that it is pretty annoying and less user-friendly.
Wonder if it is eats resources too...

That is exactly how I am, I like to have a nice wallpaper, but that is about it, I don't spend long enough looking at my desktop to worry about anything else.

It is using 4700k.(very little)
I guess if you like the vista look this will give it to you with the right theme. Like I said before its cool but not something I personally would run all the time.

I have to agree. When I used to use Winamp 5 I noticed it also has that tranparency option in it and I think I used it all of about 5-10 seconds before disabling it.
Complexity of incoherent design.
