is there any point in using the free version of it? because i know that the commercial version has Real-time scanning and that the free one doesn't. and since i almost never scan for viruses or spyware...

i dont think you can have it just running all the time with the free version but ive been using the free one just for scanning and it lets me remove them and everything but thats about it.

Ewido has one of the best scanning engines out of all the popular antimalware programs. I would never go to clean up a computer without it.
I would keep it for when you do scan and choose it to be the one you scan with. Like I said in a thread not to long ago I scanned my pc for the first time with all the programs in about 5 months but I still keep ewido installed. Its all your choice but personally I would keep it.
