But when i highlight an entry to uninstall it, and then click the "Run Uninstaller" button on right side, nothing happens. If I try to "Delete Entry" it gives me the Warning that it is only removing from the list, and the application will not be installed. When I click "Run Uninstaller" without an entry highlighted, nothing happens. I'll bet I'm not doing something right.

on 6-21-06 I downloaded the latest version and it all worked wonderfully except the Uninstaller feature in theTools section. The button on the left chooses between the Startup and Uninstall menus. It works fine.

What program are you trying to uninstall? Note: Some programs do remian in the Add/Remove list and thats what the delete Entry is for
And of course when you have nothing highlighted its going to do nothing.

I think CCleaner just uses the uninstall string proper to the application in question, just like "Add and Remove Programs" does.
What happens if you try uninstalling that application the 'usual' way?

We need to know what type or... what program he/she is having trouble with uninstalling.
Ok, well if the program is already uninstalled and if your trying to delete the subfolder of the program or the entry in add/remove you can try goin into safe mode.

And we also need to know whether something DOES happen when the poster tries to uninstall the application through Add/Remove Programs.
This is because if it won't work that way either it is likely not a CCleaner issue.
Either way, a few additional details would be nice.

Yes, but by just deleting the Program Files folder you're removing only the tip of a potentially large iceberg.
Tons of registry keys and values will be left behind, cluttering the Registry.
If the uninstall string is corrupted, by far the best option is installing the application on top of itself. That will restore missing registry keys, including that uninstall string, allowing you to get rid of the program the correct way.
I'd try that first. You can always go nuking folders and registry keys manually should it still be necessary...
