I have a so called jpeg file on my desktop, with a long and horrible name, and cant remove it. I have looked at other posts and tried to unlock it with Unlocker - no joy - also tried Spybot S&D file shreader - no joy- i have tried the command prompt way - again no joy. It seams to have no properties and file size or reconised file type and no real right click options. It will not move to another folder nor will it simply delete!

Can anyone please help? i have also tried changing the directory and renaming via command prompt although i am not sure if i did it properly as no joy - can anyone explain in more detail how to do this???

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave

Try Killbox

Download Killbox from Here

Click killbox.exe

Select the option "Delete on reboot".

Either type in the path to the file or press the folder icon and browse to the file.

Then press the Delete File button (Red Circle with a White X).
Killbox will tell you that all listed files will be removed on next reboot and asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES
If you don't get that message, reboot manually.

Your computer should then reboot.

Let us know how it goes and post the full path to the file and the filename if it doesnt work, If it is a horrible filename then send it by PM :)
