I recently installed Crap Cleaner on my wife's PC and it has apparently deleted the body of all of her saved emails! Any other reports of this bug or a fix for it? Thanks. ;-Deano

Check to see where Incredimail is installed. If you installed it as a *.zip and it extracted to the TEMP folder, then it would be deleted. Try installing it to a folder on the desktop.

Way to help out Deano there, Dj.

Actually, what zaph said made perfect sense. If Deano's decompression program (WinZip or WinRAR or the basic WinXP zip opener, etc.) is set to extract files to the "Temp" folder, obviously CCleaner would remove the files in that folder. And, if the Deano got the files for Incredimail in a zipped file, as opposed to an installer, he very easily could have accidently extracted them into the "temp" folder by accident. Assuming that the Incredimail program was running while Deano ran CCleaner, the program itself would not have been touched, but if the emails themselves are saved as a separate file, they could have easily been deleted.

@ Deano: Is there any other software you have recently installed or used around the same time you installed CCleaner? Also, does Incredimail have an option to change the location of the emails on the hard drive? If it does, and if the current location is listed as "C:\ Windows\ Temp\", you should change it to something else (such as My Documents) to prevent any further deletions. CCleaner is designed to clean out temporary junk, and any program that purposefully saves important files in that directory is not designed too well!
