Hi onesikgypo, Welcome to the forum,
Your log looks ok, A few comments and questions though
You should avoid having more that one Anti-Virus program providing real time protection as they can conflict with each other, Use alot of system resources and generally make your system less secure, If Kaspersky and Trend are both providing real time protection you should disable the protection on one of them and only use it as a on-demand scanner which you start manually to scan the system and then close after its finished. If they are not both providing real time protection then ignore all the above
O4 - Startup: ÎÃÂw
Do you know what this startup entry is for ? If not can you run the following batch file to check what is in the Startup folder:
Open Notepad (Start Menu > Run > Type notepad and press OK)
Copy and Paste the contents of the code box into Notepad.
Goto File on the top bar and choose Save As, Change the Save As Type to All Files, Name it Check.bat then save it to your desktop
Double click Check.bat to start the script, it will open notepad and list the contents of the StartUp folder which you can then post back.
O16 - DPF: {25365FF3-2746-4230-9DA7-163CCA318309} - ht*p://inst.c-wss.com/132p/html/gtdownlr.cab
Do you know what the above entry is for ?
The gtdownlr.cab archive contains two files named gtdownlr_118.ocx and gtdownlr_118.inf, the .ocx file is being detected as Adware.Gdown by Ewido and DrWeb. Im not sure if this is a false positive as I scanned the file at VirusTotal and over 20 different Security vendors didnt find any problems. If you know what it is please let us know, If your not sure then fix it using Hijack This (Run Hijack This, place a check next to the entry, close all open Browser and other windows except Hijack This and then click the Fix Checked button) , if it was genuine it will be re-installed next time you visit the site.
Finally run Panda Activescan from Here.
Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
- A new window will open...click the Check Now button
- Enter your Country
- Enter your State/Province
- Enter your e-mail address and click send
- Select either Home User or Company
- Click the big Scan Now button
- If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
- It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan
(Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
- When the download is complete, click on Local Disks to start the scan
- When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location so you can post it back.
Please post the Pandascan report back and information on the startup entry or the batch file results.
Thanks
Andy
