...wipe their slack space and scramble their file names, properties, dates, etc.? This is done by most secure overwriters.

I am not sure, but I think that maybe it dont. It just overwrite the files several times.

If you really want secure file deletion then look into Eraser;

I would recommend the older version (5.7) as the new 5.8 version seems to be a little buggy at the moment, whereas I've never had any problems with 5.7 (and am still using it after briefly trying 5.8)
