Does this program delete usernames from the login box for internet explorer for ftp? If so how; If not what program would?

I am not sure. But I think it does.
By the way, the built-in FTP client in Internet Explorer sucks.
You should try FileZilla;

* http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

And Internet Explorer is bad too, because it will probably give you spyware and nasties.
You should use Mozilla Firefox.

Actually I don't know of any login box for web-based ftp clients. I either login with ftp://userid:password@ftp.domain-name/, or if I omit the authentication then I get a 550 error: permission denied if login is required.

Actually just by going to the site ftp://yourserver.yourhost.com on internet explorer, depending on your host, and a login box will pop up. This is what im talking about, does anyone know how to clear it?

Sorry, I have never seen that - at least I do not know of any such site, so I cannot test it.

But since you do, can you test it?

Hmm, perhaps someone else that uses ftp knows how to solve this?
