i know aim sucks but how would i be able to sign on invisibly so people dont see me?

No. I don't believe there's a way to sign in while invisible (unlike Yahoo!, MSN, GAIM, etc...). You can only go invisible after you log-on. Are you using the 'old' AIM or AIM Triton?

Then I'm pretty sure there isn't a way. I don't know about other AIM clients like DeadAIM or w/e, but I know that the old AIM doesn't allow you to sign on invisible. Just sign on and sign off as quick as you can
