Ok. I got a sony digital video camera. and now i got an ati all in wonder 9800 pro card. the camera is hitched to the card via rca cables and an adapter (which came with the card). all i want to do is transfer the video on the tape on the camera, to my computer. then i can watch the video on the computer, and, if i can figure it out, or if it is possible, i would like to convert to a format to watch on my tv via a dvd player. if not, im trying to hitch the computer to the tv, but have to look into this as well.

so is there software that is available to "read" my video camera, or is it a hardware issue, or what? i have no idea and am completely clueless as to what to do next. im sure someone here will probably "dumb down" the issue for me! thanks all! :)

Did your video camera come with a manual? I'm sure it's in there, somewhere...

Windows even has it's own software for this,

Also I would advise going to a friendly electrical/camera shop and asking the resident guru as I did!
