I recently installed an ATI Radeon 9600 and found this pdf file from ATI extremely helpful (my first time installing an AGP card).
Everything is outlined very well and should help you to clear up any confusion with the process. It also includes links to everything you could possibly need.
Good luck

What are you planning to do with an AiW?

i wanted to plug my video camera to my computer and transfer videos (mostly the kids and stuff) to my computer. i also wanted to watch movies from my computer on my tv. the only problem is my computer is in the basement, and the tv i have down here doesnt have ANY inputs except the cable tv feed. my upstairs tv has a kazillion inputs, which i dont even know what most of them are, but its, im guessing here 50 plus feet away from my computer, so i dont know if i can get a cable long enough to do the job.
otherwise, i may have to get another tv for the basement, and put this one in the garage.
the 9800proaiw only cost 250 (thats canadian, so rougly 220 american) so it really wasnt that pricey. they had some at the store that were like 800 bucks, but i really couldnt justify (especially to my wife

Save a tree, eat a beaver.
Save a tree, wipe with an owl.
Every time a bell rings, a thread gets hijacked!
ding, ding!
Give Andavari lots of money and maybe even consider getting K a DVD-RW drive.
If it's not Scottish, IT'S CRAP!!!

My parents call anything >$50 for a computer a waste of money.
