Hi, I'm new to this forum. I've recently gone to a wireless network in my home and have successfully configured two printers to receive data via a wireless print server. They are located in a closet along with my wireless router (linksys) and everything is working fine. Now, I would like to have the same success with my HP 5300c Flatbed scanner. Nothing I've read seems to indicate that this is a possibility so I've ordered a USB cable with built-in repeater so that I can connect over distances longer than 16 feet. Wondering if I've missed something or is there no way to connect a scanner via wireless?

Hey bartboe,
The only thing I could come up with is a "wireless USB device server". Silex makes one that is 802.11g and will handle up to 14 USb printers, scanners, harddrives, etc. Compuvest has them for around $118 US. Just search for this model # SX-2000WG.
