I think that it would be cool if we posted monthly updates for things that aren't auto updates.

Avak1924 mentioned in another thread that there is an update for DirectX DirectX 9.0c (April 06).

I don't know if this is a good place to put it, but maybe RR will even pin the monthly updates. (Ex. Pin April when it's April, but unpin April in May and pin May).

Microsoft Update/Windows Update doesn't even list those builds, so perhaps they're not a final build. ;) Nonetheless I use them anyway.
Complexity of incoherent design.

As far that I know, aren't those builds strictly limited to software developers ?

Updates, people...updates! :P Start another thread with questions.

(my idea has already plundered :( )

EDIT: Not all of the updates will apply to everyone. People know what they use, and which updates they will need.

all the newer builds just introduce libraries for use with .NET languages. nothing more. it doesn't affect games built with C++ or any other non-.NET-based language. perhaps the reason why it's still called 9.0c

Yeah, you're not supposed to be installing the DirectX SDK. That's why it's not on Windows Update. It's for software developers. It just happens to come with the redistributable (for software developers to put on their product's CD and whatnot).
