  • Download HijackThis
  • Read the Spyware Removal Guide, it contains links to programs you'll need to run before posting a HijackThis log. Note: Some of the programs require Win2000 or WinXP in order to use them.
  • After scanning with the anti-malware programs listed in the Spyware Removal Guide post a HijackThis Log here.

Or try the guide from Lunarsoft, which covers far more and in excellent detail.

I hate popups like that, the ones that scare users into downloading rogue spyware applications that will ultimately make the machines worse. it's very evident that is a concocted popup intended solely to scare the user into downloading a rogue spyware application..i mean just look at the spelling errors.

I agree MP_handler. Also detecting the browser version and os version isn't nothing new as any website that's big enough will automatically do that.

I would question the installed firewall, e.g.; is it up-to-date and configured properly (is it blocking exploitable ports) - hence any good software-based firewall should automatically block allot of that crap long before any antimalware ("antispyware, antivirus, antitrojan") software has to deal with it which typically means it's too late and is already on the system.
