Hi Sonu , Welcome to the forum

If the downloaded programs are things like Ad-Aware SE, Spybot and Ewido then its worth keeping them all as they find different files and are free so they maybe useful to you in the future,

Your Hijack Log looks clean, are you having any problems on the pc or have you had any Malware infections recently ?

Oh, no problems on my PC but I'm always looking for ways just to make it go a bit faster -- if it can.

Feel kinda bad because I knew I didn't have any problems, but I'm sure it didn't take too long to analyze my HJT log.

Not really much you can remove there as most of the start up items relate to Mcafee, you have two very similar Messenger programs starting with Windows so you may want to consider removing one. With you having MSN Messenger the original Windows Messenger isnt much use to you, As Tarun pointed out afew days ago, removing Windows Messenger means you will not be able to have someone else control your pc remotely via messenger but most people would never want that feature, If you do remove Windows Messenger it will always be on the Windows Updates site if you ever want to install it again .

You can open Windows Messenger and goto tools then Preferences and uncheck the Start with Windows option to stop it starting automatically if you want but you can also remove it from the pc as you have the MSN version which is alot better . If you did want to remove it use Doug Knox's script from here:

The above 06 entry can be used by some malware to prevent you from changing settings like your homepage. It can also be set by you (using programs like Spybot:S&D) to prevent malware changing your settings, or System Administrators to prevent their users changing settings. If you are sure that you or a system administrator didn't impose that restriction then you can check the entry and press the Fix Checked button. If in doubt then leave it in place as your Start Page is valid and there is no indication that its been added by malware.
