this thing always auto loads when i restart my computer. how do i get it to stop doing that? i dont see it in my start up services, so i would assume it shouldnt be doing this. any ideas? thanks!

You can disable it through the program itself. It's one of the hard to find settings.

Options>Settings>Real Time Protection. Uncheck the first box.

Thanks again rridgely. Damn it! these things are so simple once they are pointed out. I dont seem to have the knack for figuring this kind of stuff out on my own.
