Hello ,
First this , i love ccleaner yes !
But it can be more faster , when i was  running ccleaner last  i checked its usage from cpu and ddr because its take long time .  . And that was only 20 % of the cpu and about 15 % of my memory  ?? Why is that so low  ?   . Maybe you designed the program like this so people can continue what they are doing on the pc and run ccleaner with low consumption  .  But i think most people running ccleaner every day and wait until its ready . Nobody actually can whining that a cleaning program uses to much cpu or memory . Thats why i think better use al the available memory and the cpu speed to run the cleaner , than CCleaner cleans   about 75 %  faster , isn,t it ?

Greetings Leon

That's not quite how it works, and the bottleneck for cleaning speed is almost always the harddrive.

Leon, I quite like your idea, & wish it were that simple. I really wish this could be implemented.

However, the HDD is usually the bottleneck, as Winapp2 stated. So sad that this idea cannot be used.

That would be awesome to CC faster! Haha! But Winapp2 is correct.

Let's suppose it is the hard drive, and you grow tired of waiting and you hit CANCEL. Couldn't the CANCEL work to cancel instead of waiting for minutes for the Internet History (etc.) part to finish? I've never understood why the IE History etc. is the first thing to run and you cannot CANCEL out of that promptly instead of being stuck waiting for it for five minutes or however LONG.  Throughout all these years and CC-versions and computers and Windows-versions that is the one consistent thing in the Universe - that incredibly LONG DELAY when CC starts up. :)

You can however untick it to disable it from being cleaned.

I'm not sure what you mean about a long delay when CCleaner starts up? I have 115 tabs open at the moment (many of them youtube) & it still loads in 2 seconds.

Are you low on RAM?

I have no problems cancelling during cleanings, when I run the next clean, it picks up where it left off.
