I noted that under my 32 Bit Windows 7, & also my 32 Bit XP Pro, that Defraggler 2.09 goes from a normal map display of the colored blocks, to incorrectly filling the free space blocks in Defraggler with blue or other colors while it defrags the MFT area.

After defragging the MFT, about 5 seconds later when it starts defraggling another area, the map display returns to normal.

Hope this gets fixed!

I think Defraggler cannot defrag the MFT because it relies on Windows defragmentation engine regular APIs. I may be mistaken though.

May be... I just know I saw it say it was working on MFT & while it did, the map display corrupted.

I believe it was in the last stages of defraggling, perhaps at 95% or so. May have been around 90%, not sure...

I suspect you are both mistaken and also correct

I believe Piriform use Microsoft API's for the MFT, BUT ALSO for everything else it (un)shuffles,
This avoids problems from some application transferring data with any file whilst it is being relocated.
