to fix issues it prompts you to backup changes to registry yes or no? i do not know what to do. i have messed up my registry before and it was hard to fix. what is recommended? can it be undone if i do. i want to try this software but i have had problems in the past with this free downloads.

Normally you dont need to backup the registry, but if you're worried about messing up your registry then back it up.
When you backup the registry it will save it to a file, when you restart the computer, if you feel your registry is messed up, you can always run the backup registry and it will merge the old settings to the registry so it will be back to normal.
CCleaner never gave me any trouble.
