People don't read the "Warning" strings. Most of the time they just skim them, or (usually due to language reasons) can't understand them. I get dozens of emails every week from people who deleted things they intended to keep, simply due to a failure to rtfm.
I'm Shane.

Perhaps where one or more "Warnings" might apply there could be a one-off multi-choice technical question to determine competence to give "informed consent" to remove.

Might be a useful feature if added to CCleaner or related products that I dare not name :rolleyes:

You mean a Warning for the Warning stating

Quote

Warning please read all Warning Warnings as they warn you of things you of which should be aware

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION
DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)
ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

I agree a warning may be in order so people are aware of the caution. This may actually help people for those times when we get corrupted update files Windows refuses to re download.

If this works for someone else without resetting there preferences, this could be added to opera more.
FileKey6=%AppData%\Opera\Opera|*.dat

Cleaning those 9.dats listed in the link hasn't changed any of my settings and are recreated upon launching opera.
http://my.opera.com/...#comment8866382

Opera is my secondary browser so most of my settings are still default.
