I can't seem to find the old hosts file topic, so I decided to create a new one.
Anyway, the MVPS Hosts file was updated on December 4th: http://www.mvps.org/...p2002/hosts.htm
I know this is late, but hey, better late than never. ;)

Probably the forum software pruning itself, I don't necessarily like that myself but oh well. Those old posts can still be found using a Google search though which is probably how some people find ancient topics and resurrect them.

I updated my HOSTS file using this but whenever I click on a Wikipedia link I get a dialog box for http://geoiplookup.wikimedia.org. I know that the HOSTS file has that as an entry but it is annoying nonetheless. Is there a way to make it automatically disappear? Using Firefox if that means anything.

Use HostXpert from funkytoad.com and add what you want to the white list, then tell it to remove whitelist items.

You can also use this (portable) program to Download, update and merge (or replace) the latest hosts file; as well as add your own entries.

Yes indeed thanks, I rely on this thread to tell me when it's updated as they do it kinda at random.
