When it was finished scanning their was NO results to view, the program just closed on its own. ??????????

CCleaner dosen't make a back up with its cleaning features. It only backs up issues scans.

Try this for the shutting down:

Post back and let us know how it goes.

Ok! that problem is solved.

Now can you tell me if it is possible to set CCleaner so that it does not wipe out my auto passwords to sites that that I frequent regularly.

"The auto complete form history" is grayed out,the box has NO check mark in it.

I ran CCleaner and returned to this form and I had to sign in again.

That's because you're removing your cookies.

You can do one of two things. Tell CCleaner not to clean any cookies(check the box). Or go to options>cookies and select the ones you want it to keep(I suggest the second option).
