Panda & PC Tools give pretty good results in their debut ;).

Anyway, My best AVIRA still have great detection rates, AVAST too. Well done :)

I wonder if they're taken into account false positives as well as good detection rates.

They do. A product with too much false positives is rated lower than a product with the same detection rate but less FP.

I would consider Avast one of the best, mainly because Avast's free version gives so many more features than all of the other AV free versions do. Boot time scan, web shield, network shield to name a few. Low false positives, high detection rate. Just awesome. :D
