I am having trouble with CCleaner deleting the image that an exe icon uses to identify it. Particularly Malwarebytes and Spybots icons in Windows 7. Windows replaces the icon image with its generic white icon and the program still starts from the exe icons just fine. Its just really annoying. Its doing it on both computers I have. Doesn't happen but to a select few programs.
What setting do I need to un-tick to stop this in the future?
I'm using the latest version of CC. 2.28.1091 but I've had this trouble with previous versions too.

Thank you.

I don't know of any setting you could disable in CCleaner to stop it. And I've moved this topic into the Bug section of the forum.
Complexity of incoherent design.

This bug has been present for a long time (over a year) and is affected by running in a Limited User account. In other words, the effect is different when running in an Administrator account than when running in a Limited User account.

If this is a common bug why don't you guys help the devs by doing a little research of your own.

Un tick every checkbox in CCleaner (making sure all icons are restored)

Then one by one run ccleaner checking one check per scan and each time checking if icons are in tact.

Then report back
No fate but what we make

Also not mentioned: Are you cleaning the Cleaner section? or the registry section?
ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION
DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)
ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
