I have tried to download the upgrades for the last two months. Whenever I do this Firefox runs a virus scan on the download and then crashes. the last version I could download was 2.24. Help!

same problem, the latest ccleaner does not get past the virus scan on my mozilla download page ....and the computer freezes....

Try the slim build on that page Hazelnut linked to and see if that will allow the download through Firefox. If not you could always get the portable build zip archive from that page and manually update CCleaner by unzipping the contents into CCleaner's program folder.
