When trying to run the Issues Scanning feature on CCleaner version 1.23.160 it doesn't do anything. Eventually I have to ctrl/alt/delete to the task manager to end the program because it is not responding. My operating system is Windows ME.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

How long would it be running before you stop it? Its possible that you have just lots of issues. Also you may want to try reinstalling CCleaner and looking at this link:

Try all of that and let us know if it starts to work.

I've let the program run for what I thought was an appropriate amount of time before canceling it, but I will try it again and let you know the results.
I failed to mention in my original question that the window labeled "Progress" is empty of any information and remains so until I have to close CCleaner.

I would let it run for no longer than an hour. I would also go ahead and follow that link I put in my last post.
Good Luck.

I let the scan feature run for thirty minutes or so and it appears to have done its job. There were only three issues that needed fixing but it seemed to work fine. In the past the process took thirty seconds to a minute to complete it's task so I guess I was a bit impatient in my concern.
At this point would you concider it necessary to download the Visual Basic 6 Runtimes.
Thank you for your help and quick response.

No, I wouldnt get the visual basic runtimes since everything is fine. It shouldnt take that long anymore. I bet your pc has lots of file and it just needed to sort through them all. If you scan again does it still take that long?
