General help for the pc illiterate

Ok, I've been searching for help to clean up my comp because I'm posative Im slower than I should be........I have a very general knowlege, so I need someone with some patience. I currently run a couple of cleaning programs but not sure where to go from here.HELP PLEASE! Kelly :blink:
